About

Life is a journey. Sometimes the road is straight and smooth, sometimes curvy and bumpy. Sometimes the light is red, sometimes it’s green. Sometimes it seems like we’re stopped at a green light while everyone else is flying by us. This blog is about life, whether it be religion and faith, politics and news, medicine or just whatever I feel like writing.

As a doctor, I’m asked a lot of times to prescribe medicine to help people’s woes, to make them better, to help them feel good. As you probably know, medicines sometimes aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. They cost a lot sometimes and the side effects can be aggravating.  But one thing that often seems to help is time and cookies.

So, I’ve named this site “Two Cookies a Day”. If you just eat two cookies and call me in the morning, it might be that whatever ails you has gotten a little better with something sweet and a little tincture of time. I hope you enjoy my thoughts and I hope that somewhere down the line it’s made your day just a little brighter.

God Bless.

  1. Deep stuff. I’m giving up the bottled water.

  2. I had approximately 14 homemade chocolate chip cookies on the 4th while at mom’s house. Do I have to wait a week before I eat another one? What is the half-life of a cookie? Seriously, I’m impressed. Good stuff man.

Thanks Tommy and Brad. Brad I thought your belly looked a little bigger, didn’t want to say so, you could be pregnant after all. The half-life of a cookie in my hand is exactly 2 seconds.

  4. I saw a pregnant guy on Oprah the other day–and you know that if it is on Oprah, it is real.
Cliffordthedawg, I just know you are going to be famous some day. Seriously, the Blog is great!

Thanks for reading. I had a link to the story. Kind of sick if you ask me.

  6. I agree with JR there, you will be famous one day… And I can say that I was your nurse (sort of … ha!) What I’ve read of your blog so far is awesome!! Very well written!!

You can always count on your friends to talk you up!

  8. While browsing around another blog, your site was mentioned, and here I am. I really like the way you have put your blog together, and the content is very good, too. Cookies are good, if they have peanut butter in them. Milk and cookies seem to work for lots of ailments; a dose of 1 Peter 5:7 goes a long way, too. Again, great blog.

  10. Thanks Ron, PreacherPen, for stopping by. Your site also looks good. I like the verse of the day, I’ve been thinking about having something like that. One that scrolls would be cool. I have to say the best cookies are double stuffed oreos dipped in milk.

1 Peter 5:7 is a great verse, here it is for anyone wondering:

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

  11. Would you mind if I add you to my blogroll? I don’t see contact information on your site; did I just miss it?

  12. Yeah, preacher pen, I’ll add yours too. I don’t have contact information on here, I’ve tried to avoid it. I’ve just cut and pasted the addresses. Thanks for the interest. God bless.

  13. Done. Keep up the great work.

  14. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Great stuff you got here man. Keep pursuing greatness.

  15. loving your blog here. you stopped by mine this afternoon… i appreciate your comment, thank you!

what area of medicine to you practice in?

  16. Tam, thanks for stopping by. I’m a family practice doctor. We were missionaries but came back to MS a few years ago. Been surfing tonight and came across your blog and a few others that are just good encouraging blogs. Started blogging about two months ago and had no idea there was so much out there. I’m not sure how the adding people’s blogs to their roll goes/blogging etiquette, I’ve just been adding some that are interesting or encouraging that might encourage my readers. Do you mind if I add yours?

  17. hey. yah, this blogging thing seems to take a lot of people by surprise. so glad you stopped over today…looking forward to reading more of your stuff and getting to know you more as well. you’ll find a lot of different things on my blog…i love to encourage community. a lot of ministry happens behind the scenes…i am grateful that blogging has opened up that door. but most of the time, at least lately…i ham it up…or try ;)

anyway… please feel free to add me to your roll…i will do the same for you right now!

    nice to meet you!

  18. just read the “abortionists email” under you “shame award”. caught my eyes because i am currently writing a book about my abortions as a teenager. it is called “the day i told my daughter”. my girl is 14 now and i have told her. the book is my journey of thought processes…my own then Gods for me. how i never thought “then” i would be telling my daughter “today”. anyways…articles like that always catch my eye…very interesting too!

  19. Tam, that’s gotta be tough. As much as I’m against abortion, I’m glad you’ve been able to face what happened and have made it through. God’s grace is great and it’s hard not to love a God that loves us despite all of the things we do. God bless your family.

  20. Hi cliffordthedog,
